We’re big fans of multi talented Nick Radford. When he’s not creating visual poetry as artist and illustrator FROOTFUL, he’s making music with his critically acclaimed band The Mighty Sceptres. Like a lost musical treasure, musician Nick Radford and songstress Angeline Morrison combine to showcase their love of all things “soul”, from funk, R&B, jazz, and doo-wop with just a bit of rock, all informed by the sound and attitude of the ‘60s to stunning effect.

The Mighty Sceptres play MONO, Falmouth Sat 21st Nov (with support from resident Soul Cookin’ DJs) as part of their UK Tour. Doors at 9pm – £6 on the door. For a preview, check out their sounds HERE.

“A Debut album that showcases their love of all things soul.” (KCRW Today’s Top Tune)

“1960s soul in its most classic form, a classy, vintage, analogue affair. Pure song craft from beginning to end.” (Paris DJs)

“As much as we dug their earlier 7-inch on Ubiquity, we’re pretty much floored by how much deeper this excellent full length cuts!” (Dusty Groove)

“Trust me, this is one excellent album.” (Craig Charles / BBC6 Music)
