EUROPEAN PREMIERE: GOOVE MOVE, Dir: Jack Coleman, USA, 2014
Jack Coleman brings to the big screen his trademark blend of flowing, stylish surfing from some of the planets most interesting surfers, all captured on celluloid and set to classic soundtrack – with that distinctive Coleman twist. Take a liberal sprinkling of Alex Knost, Joel Tudor, Ozzie Wright and Rob Machado and add some Ryan Burch, Derek Hynd, Dave Rastovich, Ari Browne, Justin Adams, Rangi Ormond, Robin Kegel, Ford Archbold, Jared Mell, Julian Abbott, Harry Henderson, Creed McTaggart and Gavin Beschen. “My choice in surfers comes from the way they approach the wave. They let the wave dictate how they draw their lines, I just want to have a nice flowing style where they can draw their unique lines,” explains Coleman.
Jack is a fully independent filmmaker and this is his fourth feature, showcasing alternative board design and the surfers who ride them. Shot in Australia, Hawaii, New Zealand, Mexico, and California. Grove and move baby, grove and move!
