What’s your connection to the sea? What drew you to the sea and surfing?

I read recently a quote saying, ‘We all come from the sea’, which I thought summed up the connection we all have. Nature is where we come from and we are all connected to this. So this is why the sea draws you in and engulfs you and with this comes the beauty of surfing, being able to ride natures elements is breathtaking. It inspires me no matter where I am and influences my work.

When and why did you get into Illustration and art?

I’ve grown up in an artistic family, so I was influenced from a very young age. Having struggled academically at school, art was my way of expressing myself, where I couldn’t in other subjects. It wasn’t until college that I adapted this style of drawing, which became a my style, of which I nurture and continue to push and progress.

What piece of work are you most proud of?

Every piece! 🙂

Who do you most admire?

My brother and my daughter.
